When can one call themselves a “photographer”?

I’ve been enamored with snapping pictures since I was a child. Being self taught means I will never know what mm my lens is and don’t even attempt to ask me what camera settings I’m using. I learn as I go and go by what I feel.

I’ve only had one trusty camera at a time throughout my life starting from the days of point and shoot film to my current sweet Lumix given to me by someone very special.

My inspirations are traveling, candid shots, Interview Magazine, black and white photography and Annie Leibovitz.

My icks are fake smiles, cookie cutter photos and the words “mini session”.

If you find my images obsession worthy I’d be thrilled to hear from you! Maybe then I’ll finally feel comfortable calling myself a “photographer.”

And please, don’t ever tell me to smile!
